Steve Bess has confirmed that Yes, Electrics are only running brushless & lipos Only.
& you are correct there will be No Nickle (nimh) or brushed motors, only LIPOS.

I don't want to sound like a broken record, but I just wanted to confirm that you guys will be running a 13.5 Sprint Class next week at the Fall Classic? I didn't see it on the Race Flyer, I did see the 13.5 LM class but not 13.5 Sprint???

Just want to make sure before I make the drive....
